The O Level course is a foundation-level certification in computer applications. It is equivalent to a Diploma in Computer Applications and is especially popular among students and job aspirants in India preparing for government and private sector IT-related roles.

O Level course, jo ki NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology) dwara conduct kiya jata hai, ek 1 saal ka foundation-level computer course hota hai. Is course ko do semesters mein divide kiya gaya hai, jisme har semester ki avadhi lagbhag 6 mahine hoti hai. Yadi koi student regular institute se ye course karta hai, to poora course ek saal mein complete ho jata hai. Lekin agar koi student self-study (direct candidate) ke roop mein registration karta hai, to usse minimum 1 saal ka study period complete karna hota hai exam dene ke liye. Kuch situations mein, project submission ya exam delay hone par course duration thoda lamba bhi ho sakta hai, lekin officially iska samay ek saal hi mana jata hai.
